NEW INTAKE
Six more vulnerable pupils were added in the school to school program in the month of May 2010.
Three members of ShineBean; Daniel, Renata and Monica travelled to Nyakach to witness the new intake of the sponsored pupils in the school to school program, three from Kawili Primary School and three from Nyalunya Primary School. Each sponsored pupil was given a female goat. In order for the new sponsored to receive full school uniform, their measurements were taken and a new pair of shoes will be given to them later when the shoes are ready. We also gave out toys to Nyabola and Nyalunya school which were donated by their partner schools in Czech Republic.
The guardians of the sponsored children were very happy for the donation they received from ShineBean Kenya as most of them could not afford to buy shoes for the pupil to use when they go to school. The directors of the schools where we have the school to school program were also grateful for the support the pupils were getting since its motivating the pupils to continue learning hence reducing the number of school drop outs due to level of poverty.
