In 2006 we start working with people in the slums and remote villages in Kenya. We are seeing there tremendous needs and opportunities for support and cooperation. Our projects are focused on the education and support of children and adults - for more info: School to School, social and economic development in impoverished communities – for example: project Give an Opportunity.
We lead the people of impoverished regions to discover the resources that are available and how to use them to their advantage. During the discovery of concrete needs, planning and the realization of aid, we work with the local communities. The local people are at the same time becoming responsible for the carrying out of activities, which will bring benefit to them and to other residents of their area. Our help is practical. From an economic and social perspective, we recognize the benefit of creating a network of connected services, which will solve real needs in a complex manner. During planning, we affirm the importance of efficiency and of creating the potential for multiplication. We are striving so that the realized projects will be sustainable and will bring economic independence.
